Today, I decided to venture outside. It has been sunny and things are starting to grow. Unfortunately the house we bought is in desperate need of landscaping. So, that means there is not a lot of flowers and things growing in the yard. There is a rose bush in the back yard that is starting to get leaves. With the sun on them, I thought they looked pretty. So I took some pictures.

Ok. Back to cats today. They were sitting together on the couch looking so cute that I just couldn’t resist taking their photo. Though, it was quite a task to get them to both look at the camera with their eyes open (it is tiring being cat I guess).

Don’t really get out of the house much these days. Given that I work from home and then after work we work around here, unpacking, cleaning, etc… Did not feel like taking a picture of cats today. So, instead, I took a picture of the shower curtain. With a wide angle lens. Looking down from the top. Wasn’t even looking through the view finder. Just held it up there. This is what I came up with. Definitely something different.

The dog bed my parents gave us for the new place has officially been claimed by the little dude. It is pretty huge for a kitty bed. And it had a great view. Here he is enjoying the view. He did not want to pose today.

Moving Day! Or at least the day we got most of the big stuff moved. My parents rented a U-Haul and we had some friends and family helping us out. It was a long and tiring day… and I didn’t even carry any of the heavy stuff. Only took one picture today. The tree outside of our soon to be former residence are finally blossoming again. Last year I was posting blossom pictures in mid February. Here it is March 12th and they are just barely blossoming. Tomorrow will be another busy day.

Packing up things today and moving them to new place. Small things we can move in our vehicles. My parents are renting a U-Haul this weekend that we will use to move all the big stuff. Packed up my bookshelf today. This was on it. It is a set of champagne flutes that my friend Melanie gave me for Christmas many moons ago.

[NOTE: I seemed to have misplaced the memory card with my photos from March 4th to March 9th on it during our move. At least I am hoping that is the case and I didn’t accidently delete them. I am missing one memory card, so it that is what is on it when I find it. I know I took them. I will update these dates as soon as I find it. Until then, I am continuing my catching up with March 10th]

Still finishing some painting at our new place and preparing to move from the old place. Today I took a picture of what I call “my little man necklace.” Last June after our kitty Shadow was fatally hit by a car, I ordered a necklace with a photograph I had taken engraved on it. I ordered it from http://www.ilovephotogifts.com/ during my grieving because I wanted to make sure I always remembered him, given that he was with us such a short time. It took awhile to actually arrive, but I wear it most days. It has the words “My Little Man” engraved on the back. I still miss my boy very much (I have a tear in my eye as I type this), but I so grateful that I got to have him in my life. He brought us many smiles.

We signed all the final closing paperwork for the house today. Crazy. Don’t think I have ever signed my name so many times in one sitting before. Took a picture of the lazy kitties hanging out on the bed today. Nutty was being her nutty self.
