I went to Lake Chelan today for a work conference with my friend and co-worker Rachel. We went to the same conference last year. It was a nice change of pace from the usual work day. The weather was interesting, we had sun, rain, thunder and lighnting. This is a tree outside our lakeview hotel rooms. I thought the bark was interesting.

This is the plant that used to be in my cubicle. Now, since I work from home, it is in my home office. I have had it for a couple years. I amazed I haven't killed it yet. It has been close, but it always manages to pull through.
